How healthy and fit you are can be determine by a tool called body and mass index. But some are nit sure if this is accurate because it is hard to determine the relationship if your body fat , your muscle with your health. Some believe otherwise.


Adolph's Quetelt develop BMI,  body mass index in the early 1800s. It compares the weight of the individual to their height. and this will determine if it is within the correct range. It become famous thorough years and it still being used for wright measurements until now.




In determining your weight body fat,  bones, and body size,  muscle are included for getting your BMI. The formula is to take your height in meters squared and divide your weight in kilograms by that number.
 As an example if your height is 1.6 meters tall you would multiply 1. 5 times 1. 5 that will be 2. 25 If you weight. 60 kilograms you would divide 60 by 2, 25 your BMI will be 26. 67,  you are considered overweight since the normal range is 18. 5 to 24. 

But some people have doubts since the general weight of a persons consist of many different. things,  one of them is body fat. We could not tell if a person is generally healthy. by the amount of body fat a person have.
Another part of the being look up during the BMI is the muscle tissue.  A person who is always in the gym that grows his muscle may be underweight or obese if not knowingly this weights has gone above the standard BMI.


Another area where the body mass index is the gender of the person being. taken.  Generally the BMI imen must be higher than that of a women but this is where the BMI can be inaccurate. BMI can also be inaccurate in children and talk persons. So generally if you are a child with lots of muscle,  a very tall person forgave a lengthy bones the BMI formula might be not for you.
